Breakdance is normally danced to pop, funk or hip hop music, often remixed to prolong the breaks, and is a well-known hip hop dance style. Breakdancing involves Toprock (movement while standing up), Downrock (movement on the ground) and Stalls (acrobatic pauses in movement). A breakdancer, breaker, b-boy or b-girl refers to a person who practices breakdancing.

BREAKDANCE MOVES & TECHNIQUES

>>Top Rock<<

The Top Rock is a combination of steps done while
standing up. This is the entry dance that Bboys
and Bgirls use to start their set. These steps are
done before you do a power set or before you go
down to the floor.

>>6 step<<

The 6-step is a foundational sequence of breakdance
footwork. The b- boy uses his arms to support his body
above the floor while his legs walk around in a circle.

>>Freezes<<

A freeze is a move where a breakdancer would hold him
self in a certain position. For example by his hand, head,
back, side and some times his knees.

>>Back To Back<<

The back to back is a move that envolves a breakdancer to
do a back flip and land on his shoulders, then doing a kip
up and repeating this moves.

>>90's<<

the deadman 1990 is done without alternating between
hands before the spin. The bboy spins on the same hand
he initially places onto the ground, making the deadman
90 easier to balance but harder to create momentum.

>>Windmills<<

The Windmill is one of the most widely recognized power
moves in breakdance. The breaker rolls his torso
continuously in a circular path on the floor, across the
upper chest/shoulders/back, while twirling his legs in
a V-shape through the air.

>>Flare<<

The breaker supports his body with his arms, swings his
legs around his stationary torso in continuous circles, and
never allows his legs to touch the groound.

>>Swipe<<

The breaker leans back, whips his arms to one side to
touch the ground, and his legs follow closely behind,
twisting 360 degrees to land on the ground once again.

>>Head Spin<<

A headspin is an athletic move in which a person balances
on their head while roatating along the vertical axis of their
body, usually without any other form of support.
